In 1978 CBS aired the now infamous Star Wars: Holiday Special. Taking place between the events of Episode IV: A New Hope and Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back it told a heart warming tale of Chewbacca returning home in time for Life Day celebrations. As an added bonus it features the first appearance of everyone’s favourite bounty hunter Boba  Fett

Unfortunately the Holiday Special was not met with favourable reviews and was quickly forgotten and hidden away after its initial airings. In the 90’s bootlegs started to surface, and the only way people could see the Special was on grainy VHS copies. 

Now that Disney is about to launch their streaming service, Disney+, we at The Scotty Mars Show Podcast think it would be a great idea to add the Star Wars Holiday Special to the list of available titles. If you feel the same sign the petition and may the force be with you.
