Save our Cygnets at Stubbers Green, Walsall

The Issue

Four beautiful cygnets at Stubbers Green in Walsall were deliberately run over on 8 June 2016 by a motorist who was too impatient to stop and wait for them cross the road with their 'Mummy' swan and 'Daddy' swan.  Two of the cygnets were killed instantly and two were injured.  Stubbers Green is a Nature Reserve and despite the 20mph speed limit and 'rumble strip' this does not deter drivers from taking care when the Swans, ducks and geese are crossing the road.  Only last week a mallard was killed by a vehicle and we now want better traffic calming measures in the form of speed humps installed.
