The Walmart policy's  are outdated! Wearing the bill of the hat backwards is neither a safety concern nor more unprofessional than associates with colored hair, tattoos or piercings. Having the bill of the hat facing forward is a Safety concern due to obstructed vision especially in the automotive department where you are needing to look upward at the vehicle. With this obstructed vision you are forced to look directly upward which allows oil, washer fluid, and other substances to drip directly on the associates face. Managers threaten termination if a hat is not facing forward but who is the hat hurting? the policy is outdated and must be changed! The main argument is that a backwards hat is unprofessional so to prove my point on how barbaric the policy is I wore my hat forwards with reindeer ears, a bow, green ribbons out the back and a bell that rang as I walked. This was way more unprofessional yet this was allowed and acceptable under the Walmart policy!

after hearing the voices of many other associates we have added additional notes. Hoodies should be allowed to be worn! How can you tell an associate that he or she cannot wear a hoodie when its cold out!

sick leave and doctors notes should also be acceptable!

Lets work to change this ridiculous policy going into 2023!
