Company Sponsored After-Work Literacy Program for Low Wage Workers in 3rd World Countries

Company Sponsored After-Work Literacy Program for Low Wage Workers in 3rd World Countries
The Issue
I have been challenged by my 7th grade social studies teacher to help bring about a change in this world and decrease the hunger dilemma, so I have created this petition on change.org. I believe the simple idea in my petition could work if leaders of our country and/or major corporations would support it. It will cost almost nothing, but the benefits will be priceless.Thank you for considering to support it.
Statistics show that the majority of malnourished people in 3rd world countries have very little income from their low wage jobs. One way to break this poverty crisis and help solve the global hunger epidemic could be for these people to gain greater skills so they can obtain more income. Simply trying to raise their income without increasing skill doesn't work (as the minimum wage increases on the US West Coast have shown us).
The problem is that most people in 3rd world countries lack basic literacy skills and have no way to improve it. If the major companies in the US required their factories and the factories of their suppliers to have a couple computers with a free literacy program (and perhaps free basic math and other simple grade school topics) on it that employees could use (or would be encouraged to use) before or after work hours, it could help to improve their opportunities, resulting in a world with less malnutrition and other poverty-related problems.
