WALGREEN"S EMPLOYEES DIRE NEED FOR PERSONAL PROTECTIVE GEAR & HAZARD PAY

The Issue

ALL Employees of Walgreens are being subjected to possible exposure to the coronavirus, from the warehouse to the delivery drivers, stockers, pharmacist, technicians, cashiers and store management. We the employees of Walgreens should be paid sick leave up to 21 days if they have been exposed or contracted the coronavirus.

We also shall be supplied proper disposable uniforms, safety glasses, gloves hand sanitzer and mask. We should be given the choice to work or stay home with proposed benefits below until the panademic is over.

Please join us for our right to choose to stay home or work per the guidelines below.

Demanding an answer from Mr Richard Ashworth, @ Walgreens, that you will reimburse any employee with valid receipts for providing their own proper ppe and uniforms, and/or Walgreens will get ppe and equipment supplied immediately to each and every store, during this pandemic at no cost to the employees for the safety of all concerned.

1) We are also urging you to consider the bonus payment of $300.00, you have offered as a one time payment to apply to every month an employee part time or full time who works they're schedule during this pandemic.

2) We are also urging you to give the long awaited salary increase of 6% to every salaried ASM, Manager, Pharmacist and any other salaried employee. These managers have worked diligently with all employees and without them no store would stay open and running day in day out for these are devastating times we are in, and many of the managers have not had raises in 3 plus years. I find this truly disturbing, for in the 80's nearly every corporation gave a cost of living wage from 3 to 6 percent, to employees so please do the right thing and share some of your wealth with all employees.

This will show your true appreciation of the dedication of all of the employees from warehouse to managers, who show up to work per their schedule day in day out.

Allthough we the employees, are putting ourselves on the front lines for possible exposure to the coronavirus, to keep the stores open we feel you should reciprocate your appreciation by making that pledge to us.

Any employee that chooses to stay home can file for a leave of absence and return to work when they feel safe to do so, and they shall retain their position upon returning and by making that choice would not collect any wages.

STAND TOGETHER - Show we will unite. Please sign the petition demanding your rights to a safer working enviroment.

Mr Richard Ashworth, this what we believe is the right thing for you to do since we are risking putting our health , welfare and family at risk to keep Walgreens open.

Respectfully,

Faye Price
