The Waialua District Park and Pool have been without lights for nearly two years. When operable at night, the park and pool hosted many family and youth activities, including football, baseball, softball, soccer, and swimming. Teams are being forced to play at other parks in other communities such as Whitmore, Mililani, and CORP. Waialua High and Intermediate School's swim team does not have a facility to practice at after dusk. This is unacceptable, as our community deserves a safe place to gather for these activities. The park is the hub of our community. Please help by signing this petition, to encourage the City and County of Honolulu to expedite the process of putting in our park lighting.
