Waddle On Again!
The Issue
Waddle On, the motto of Club Penguin, and a sign of inspiration, connection, and community.
Club Penguin was a great game for all ages, with fantastic events, and updates that everyone played. We made friends along the way and met new ones, as we explored these events and places. Disney has left a lasting impact on peoples lives and memories through this game, and it was disheartening to the players once it was gone. When the shutdown was about to come, everyone, even players that haven't logged on in so long came back, and played their final games, and counted down every second together, until the game shutdown in its final minute. A community so strong and caring to say their goodbyes with puffles and flippers in hand.
We know it shut down for costs and decreasing players, but there are still many of us that wish to play again under Disney's servers. For the updates, the events, and experience that Disney has given us, the ones that we crave to see once more. The trick-or-treat and costumes of Halloween, the friendly atmosphere of winter during the Holidays, or the emersion they bring when they add, Star Wars or Monsters Inc. onto the island to bring joy and inspiration when promoting their game.
Club penguin was unique for the game they made, a world where you and everyone around you where able to express themselves. You were able to customize your penguin with clothes, items, and puffles you can buy with the coins you earn from the mini games. Even decorate your own igloo that every player had. Igloos were places that players can build and customize their living space with whatever furniture they can buy and invite friends to party after.
There are plenty more to talk about that would take forever to go over, like making your own music as a DJ, mastering the elements at the Dojo, finding rare golden puffles in the caves, or even working as a spy on the Island!
Club Penguin was a game of memories and connection, a game of challenges and imagination, and I want to make this petition to bring back the community even stronger and better!
I hope to see everyone back on the Island once more, Waddle On!
