Unfortunately, the unscrupulous efforts of Doxiedor, LLC, a company notorious across the country for selling and leasing puppy mill dogs is getting ready to set up a second location (initially purported to be in Redmond, WA, however evidence as of 1/14 indicates Olympia)- and their efforts must be stopped.

Their Puyallup, WA Puppyland location is disturbing and there have been numerous issues, complaints and concerns about their operation- especially in regard to the origination of their puppies, the care and health of them both in care and after the sale- and their past history of similar operations all over the country.

Sadly, although WA is one which does not condone the retail sale of animals, this business has not yet been run out of town- and they have instead started another, far too close to home.

Businesses like this source their puppies from puppy mills- places which churn out puppies without concern for their well being on the most basic levels. When animals become a commodity for profit, any effort invested into their care is neglected as it cuts into the bottom line. 

Businesses like this are the antithesis of all legitimate animal welfare efforts, of which WA is known to be a champion with greater than 90% live release rate. This business is a serious threat to the efforts of decades of progress in the movement toward animals as family, cared for responsibly through spay and neuter efforts that reduce the euthanization of healthy, adoptable animals.

Literally, the lives of tens of thousands of dogs are on the line- both those in our state that are already seeking homes and those in the puppy mills, suffering for the greed of such unscrupulous businesses...

However ultimately, it is up to us, the people in our community to understand the realities of such a business- to educate those who might fall prey to their efforts, believing their lies and tactics. 

At its core, buying a dog is far from the path to getting what you want and need in a pet- but buying a dog from a place like this is as bad as it gets.

We must stop the efforts of such a business from even getting started in our area- one which prides itself on animals as family, rescue in general as a priority and most of all, believing that animals deserve more than to be sold as objects by people who have no interest in their welfare.
