As of March, 2011, There have been Fuel leak incidents on 2003 through present day E class Mercedes platforms. In 2008, A Reacall was issued (campaign #2008-020001) to address this issue, that actually worked quite well. Until about a year later, that is. It is now affecting hundreds of E sedans.

This Has happened to me, personally, and Mercedes Benz USA has Denied to help any further than the Recall, that was issued in 2008. The repair I had performed under the recall solved my problem for about 20,000 miles, and 2 and a half years. It is now once again leaking, and because of this I have not been able to put more than three quaters of a tank of gas in my car without the smell and puddle of fuel. I am hoping to open the eyes of someone at MB USA LLC to have this addressed once and for all. All you have to do is spread the word and have anyone you know with an ANY E55 or E63 AMG look under the seat and remove the service doors on the passganger AND driverside to look for the prescence of fuel, and sign this petition. 

I am aware that an online petition is not a place to begin if your trying to convince a multi billion dollar entaprise to fix a part on a discontinued car, let alone free of charge. BUT, If I can get a good amount of signitures, I will get an attorney involved and take this to MB USA and the NHTSA. So with your help, we may be able to influence another recall from MB USA.
