Vacaville Unified School District and Will C. Wood High School have time and time again failed their students. From hiring teachers without the correct credentials to teach a class, illegally forcing students to sign binding contracts without parental consent or knowledge, letting a student who actively threatened to stage a school shooting walk free with no consequences and still be allowed on campus, allowing administrators to berate, insult and belittle students, and now requesting a teacher into resignation not based on her teaching abilities. Changes need to happen for the safety and well being of new and existing students as well as informing parents, who have no knowledge of what is happening to their students, what they are sending their child into. This is the first step in bringing real change to not just one school but the Vacaville school system. The students deserve a safe learning environment and teachers who will advocate for them. The school and the board are trying to silence those who will advocate for their students and inform parents when administrators would rather everything be private. Change happens now.
