Last September, Representative John Conyers, Jr. of Michigan's 14th District introduced legislation before both the House and the Senate that would implement uniform standards for voter eligibility at the federal level and restore the right to vote to millions of Americans, disenfranchised due to felony convictions.  Please see my related action, "What Happened to Democracy?" for more information on this proposed legislation and why it's so important.
