We, the undersigned citizens and registered voters of the Republic of Palau, firmly believe and strongly support Mr. Surangel Whipps Jr. for President and ecstatically, enthusiastically and earnestly urge Mr. Surangel Whipps Jr. to run for President. We believe his presidential candidacy for the following, apropos, logical and valid reasons:

Mr. Whipps has had business management experience, superb education ( He is a graduate [MBA] of UCLA’s prestigious Anderson School of Management, one of the US’ Public Ivies) and relevant government experience (and leadership attributes) urgently needed to bring Palau out of economic slumber.

Additionally, he is an independent thinker with a critical and analytical mind, which we desperately need his good judgment, cogitation and decision, particularly in this important juncture in our history.

Mr. Whipps , humble,trustworhty, honest with impeccable integrity and outstanding character, will have a government, which is transparent and accountable for its action, transactions and all its political dealings with citizens and foreigners alike and all nations with justice, fairness and equality.

Moreover, we trust that Mr. Whipps, compassionate and gentleman in every sense of the word, will be fair to every Palauan (Belauan) and his administration’s hiring process and practice will be predicated on current civil service merit system and also his administration will obey and follow all existing laws, including our constitution, which is the supreme law of the Palau Islands.

Mr. Whipps and his family have helped Palauans (Belauans) and Palau incessantly and continuously since the inception of the fledgling Republic of Palau in 1981 with their company, their time and efforts and financial assistance and support. For instance, they cleared roads with their company’s equipment, time and men power after two super typhoons devastated Palau. During the drought, three years ago, Mr. Whipps and his family, helped distributing water to homes in Koror and in Airai, among their many altruistic contributions to Palau and our people.

We firmly believe that Mr. Whipps, who has a full bean bag already, will not be fully dependent on the government always to bail us out of national disaster emergencies and miseries. Mr. Whipps, honest, reliable, helpful with his money, altruistic with his heart and generous almost to a fault with his financial support as exemplified thru his generosity and embodied thru indefatigable work and service for all Palauans (Belauans) first and the Republic of Palau will never suck blood ( money) out of the government and/or leech on it.

He, courteous, polite, respectful, gentle and patient with us, will hear and listen to us. Additionally, we will talk freely and comfortably with him.. Because he does not look at people superciliously, and ergo, the future Whipps Administration will treat every Palauan (Belauan) fairly, justly and equally.

Furthermore, Mr. Whipps, reasonable, forthright, straightforward and decisive, but, always expresses himself diplomatically and tactfully.

Definitely, Mr. Whipps will lead us by example.

Mr. Whipps , proactive, innovative, creative, efficient and effective, who professes, espouses and practices efficiency in his company and in his entire life will cut the government waste and instill efficiency and effectiveness in government. He also practices prevention management and is always proactive in his proposed determinate solutions to our nation’s recurrent problems (and vicissitudes).

In his last presidential debate, he showed his courage, conviction, determination, knowledge, intelligence, business expertise and super management education , prudence, practicality, eloquence, wisdom and visions to articulate freely his proactive solutions to all issues/ problems plaguing our country impressively, convincingly, thoroughly and realistically logical. Therefore, we absolutely believe that Mr. Whipps deserve to serve Palau first and Palau deserve to have Whipps served Palau and our people first.
