Hi all!

I am excited to announce my candidacy for the 1L class representative position for the Student Bar Association. As a first-year law student deeply committed to the community at Detroit Mercy Law, I believe I have the vision and dedication needed to effectively serve and represent our class. I am committed to being a voice for every student, ensuring that our unique experiences and concerns are voiced for and to the student body.

My roots in this community are very important to me. I was born in Iraq and have been raised in the metro Detroit area since I was nine years old. Growing up here taught me to truly love this city, and it’s that same pride and dedication I want to bring to our class at Detroit Mercy Law.

I am experiencing and navigating the unique challenges of the law school alongside you all and I understand the importance of having an advocate in your corner to help decipher the unknowns. I am committed to being that advocate for you, ensuring that our unique experiences and concerns are voiced!

Please join me in this mission! Let's work together to make our first year not just something we survive, but a truly rewarding and positive experience for all of us.
