Vote of No Confidence Letter to TDs

Vote of No Confidence Letter to TDs
The Issue
Dear Teachta Dála,
I am writing to you on behalf of over 2,000 citizens who have signed a petition calling for urgent political accountability and meaningful action in response to the worsening cost of living crisis in Ireland.
In light of the motion of no confidence brought forward by Sinn Féin, we are formally calling on you to support this motion and to reflect seriously on the realities now facing the people you represent.
What began as public concern over rising fuel costs has now grown into something far greater. This is no longer just about fuel — it is about the overall cost of living becoming unaffordable for ordinary people and unsustainable for small businesses. The cost of home heating, energy, transport, and basic day-to-day living continues to rise, while many are being pushed to their financial limits.
Equally concerning is the response to the peaceful protests that have taken place across the country. People have taken to the streets not out of anger alone, but out of necessity — to be heard, to highlight their struggles, and to call for change. The response to these peaceful demonstrations has, in the eyes of many, been inadequate and dismissive, further deepening the disconnect between government and the public.
This letter represents more than signatures — it represents growing frustration, genuine hardship, and a clear loss of confidence in the current government’s ability to address these crises effectively.
We are asking you to stand with your constituents. Supporting the vote of no confidence would send a clear and necessary message: that the current trajectory is not acceptable, and that the voices of the Irish people must be taken seriously.
This is a defining moment. Your decision will reflect where you stand — with the people facing these challenges every day, or with a government that many feel is no longer responding to their needs.
We urge you to act in the best interests of those you represent.
Yours sincerely,
Citizens Of Ireland
