Members of the School Committee,

JMW is a unique setting in which young artists can receive a high quality education in both the academics and arts.  Serving as a small, arts focused school, JMW has a unique, supportive culture that fosters the growth of our artists through an inclusive, creative environment.  As a result, JMW has established itself as a high achieving, valuable asset for the city of Pawtucket, allowing our city to retain our most creative students, and to draw other artists to our city from around the state.  We urge you to allow JMW to continue to be an independent, geographically autonomous school, entirely separate from the unified high school, where we can continue to serve as a valuable alternative for the students of Pawtucket.  

The signees of this petition urge you to NOT include JMW in the plans for the unified high school.
