On Wednesday, May 18th, CCSD's Department of Planning and Real Estate presented three options for the board to consider in order to rezone the school to meet growing population demands. During the regularly scheduled constituent board district two meeting, CCSD’s Department of Planning and Real Estate presented three options to the board for consideration for rezoning. 

Option 1 includes secluding portions of Carolina Park and rerouting them to Charles Pinckney Elementary, completely eliminating the option for these students to walk or ride their bike to their community elementary school less than a mile away. 

The board will seek input from the community at the next regularly scheduled board meeting, currently scheduled for August 23 at 6:00 pm. After the community input meeting, the board will meet and make a final recommendation to the CCSD county board, who will certify the decision. The hope is that the final decision will be made in September/October.

Please consider signing this petition to let the voice of Carolina Park Residents be heard, we DO NOT want any portion of Carolina Park to be redistricted to any other schools.
