Dear Colorado Vaping Store Owner and Ally,

Earlier today (May 3, 2022), HB 1064 (the vaping flavor ban legislation), passed both the House Appropriations committee and passed on second reading in the full Colorado State House of Representatives.  On May 4, the full Colorado State House will most likely pass HB 1064 on third reading and final passage.

Next, HB 1064 will be debated in the Colorado State Senate committee of reference, most likely, on Friday, May 6 at a time TBD and in a committee TBD. 

As soon as we know the State Senate committee assignment, we will email you to testify. This will be our last opportunity to testify in the 2022 Colorado legislative session.  We will need all of you to testify either virtually or in-person.

For weeks, we were successful at ensuring that HB 1064 was not heard in the next legislative stage of the process.  The Colorado General Assembly will adjourn by midnight on May 11, 2022. We are working feverishly to defeat this bill at every legislative stage.

Governor Polis has made it clear that he does not support the bill. But we need to do everything within our power to defeat the legislation in the State Senate.
