We have surpassed 3,000 signatures on our digital petition in addition to the 750 on paper. Thank you all for your ongoing support in our neighborhood battle. Our goal is to protect the character of Lake Washington and stop any change of zone from Rural Residential 1 (RR-1)  since 1+ acre parcels are the defining characteristic of our LW community.

Our efforts over the next eight weeks are focused on raising visibility for every resident/voter to attend:
September 14 Planning and Zoning Advisory Board meeting at 3 p.m. in Viera, and
October 1 Brevard County Commission Zoning meeting at 5 p.m. in Viera

We are also asking residents to gather their own "Findings of Fact" to demonstrate impacts to our community (flooding, traffic, wildlife observations). Photos or videos with time/date stamp is solid evidence.

We have also established a Facebook Group: Preserve the Character of Lake Washington Melbourne to keep our neighbors informed.
