As far as for a host, no better than Rich Fields. As announcer on the Price is right, he would be a perfect candidate as he was behind the scenes and knows how to interact with contestants and frankly he understands that its not about the host the game is about the contestant. I personally feel he would excel at the position, remember he asked to try out to host price is right but was never given the opportunity. Plus not to mention he has been on air doing weather reports and on the radio for many years, he has the experience and knows the game, so why not give him a shot? 

Rich is nothing but the best and would EXCEL if just given the chance. Lets show Sony we mean business.
