Plans for a new fifth tier Conference League in Scottish football are illogical, ill-thought through and unjust.

Positions in the Scottish football pyramid should be earned on the pitch, not purchased.

The Conference League proposal will see up to 200 clubs effectively relegated, and this is a consequence which is unacceptable to Scotland's football fans.

If this goes through, the footballing structure of Scotland will be damaged - with a clear message that fairness doesn't matter.
