I am a adoptive mother of a 6 month old pot-bellied pig named Bitz.    I have been fighting since March to keep her her home.  She is an extremely loving and intelligent animal.   Bitz is spayed, micro-chip and has a full vet record.   This started back in March when a neighbor could see her from the back window and called animal control to complain that she was running around in the back courtyard by herself, pooping all over and I was not picking it up.  She is potty-trained to go on potty pads and would never be outside by herself.    This was made up. She is an extremely loving intelligent animal.     This was made up because they though animal control would take Bitz from me.   This did not work- so they called the condo association next.   My landlord (that knows Bitz lives here) received a letter stating that I needed to remove the pig immediately.   I wrote a 3 page letter to the condo asking them to explain to me why Bitz cannot live here.  The only thing in their contract stated was that domesticated animals need to be picked up after.    By definition, Bitz is a domesticated animal.   I received an email the very next day saying that the condo president says that he has no problem with Bitz living here.  I was excited and thought this was over- I had written permission from my landlord and the condo association.     My fight is not over- the same neighbor called the county and complained that I have a farm animal living here so I received a warning letter to remove her in 10 days.  With the help of my amazing landlord- we have kept in constant contact with the county regarding this complaint.   I begged them to please just send me the violation so I can appeal with the board as soon as possible.  They came out and took pictures of Bitz and her bedroom and approved a date to appeal with the board.  Our court date is August 17th.   I am extremely nervous and terrified that I am going to lose my baby.   This neighbor is not finished and wants Bitz out so bad that she made up another lie on July 4th weekend and called the condo association againand stated that my front door was open and "my pig came out grunting, growling and charging at her 4 year old as pigs do."    The whole statement is just ridiculous and very sad.    If this lady wants Bitz out- then she needs to be an adult and go to the court date and do this legally- not by teaching her 4 year old to lie.  I am going to fight this as hard as I can- Bitz loves her home and loves her mommy and daddy.   Please help me keep Bitz home.   She makes our world a better place.  I could write all of the facts about pot-bellied pigs and explain how I am going to prove that Bitz is not a farm animal but sweet domesticated animal that deserves a home with us - but the truth is- I just want to keep my baby home and I am not going to bore any of you with facts about pot-bellied pigs- I am just going to ask you to please help me keep her home by signing this petition.   Thank you for supporting Bitz!!!!!!!
