Two weeks prior to being recognized for a quarter century of service to our community through her work at the Janice S. Munt Family Room, Linda Alderman and two colleagues, Glenn Groves and Rosie Senna were fired with little notice. 

This surprise decision, made behind closed doors, has resulted in immediate programming cuts leaving over 400 families who depend on Family Room scrambling to meet their immediate needs. Mothers who showed up for an ESL class this Tuesday (11/10/15) were caught off guard when there was no childcare and the class was unmanageable with all of the children. This is just a glimpse into the problem. These cuts will have enormous ripple effects to families if we do not act now to reverse the decision.

That is why parents and community members are organizing to demand the reinstatement of our beloved staff - Rosie, Linda and Glenn - and the continuation and expansion of Family Room programming.

Join us, and call on VNA CEO Judy Peterson and VNA Board Chair Johan Maitland to reinstate staff and programming at the Family Room ASAP, and work with staff and parents to ensure a more sustainable, accountable collaborative model moving forward.
