Peticija za potpunu zabranu GMO u Hrvatskoj

The Issue

Genetski modificirani organizmi (GMO) su organizmi čiji je genetski materijal izmijenjen uz pomoć korištenja tehnika genetičkog inženjerstva. Genetska promjena većinom označava dodavanje ili brisanje gena iz DNA, čime se na neprirodan način unose DNA od treće strane. Zahtijevamo potpunu zabranu proizvodnje, sadnje i uvoza genetički modificiranih organizama (GMO). Pod tim podrazumijevamo i ishranu za životinje koja je trenutno dopuštena. Znači, potpuna zabrana GMO na teritoriju Republike Hrvatske. GMO po neovisnim istraživanjima koja nisu plaćena od strane Monsanta i ostalih, uzrokuje rak, autoimune bolesti, neplodnost, hormonalne poremećaje i bolesti živčanog sustava. Ništa manje od potpune zabrane.

I am sorry to have to inform you that the European Ombudsman cannot deal with your complaint. This is because it concerns an issue that is not within her mandate. The European Ombudsman can investigate only complaints that concern the administrative work of the European Union's institutions and bodies, for instance the European Commission and European Union agencies. Article 228 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union empowers the European Ombudsman to receive complaints "… concerning instances of maladministration in the activities of the Union institutions, bodies, offices or agencies..." No action by any other authority or person may be the subject of a complaint to the Ombudsman. (Article 2.1 of the European Ombudsman's Statute.)”
