Kira Griffin started this petition to VIZ Media LLC and

The Pretty Cure fandom in North America, the UK and Australia have been clamouring for a faithful English dub of the series for almost as long as the show has been airing in Japan. Our first - and allegedly most faithful - dub of the first 2 seasons by Odex was aired exclusively in the Philippines, and has been lost to time due to the lack of DVD releases or online recording. The Ocean Studios dub of the first season, which was commissioned by Canadian television company YTV, had a location change from Tokyo to Toronto, westernised most character names and altered some major dialogue. This dub also constantly shifted time slots, had barely any advertising and had its final 5 episodes air back-to-back, after the show had seemingly been off the air for months.

And we don't talk about Glitter Force.

Thankfully, due to the fandom pushing for a new legal release of the series, we now have the newest season - Healin'Good❤︎Pretty Cure - simulcasting on the Crunchyroll streaming service as of Episode 13. But we are still hungry for more.

Some fans wish for the multi-billion yen franchise to get another chance in the Western world. They want a faithful English dub that doesn't cut anything out. They want a dub with VIZ Media at the helm, a la their dub of Toei's other hit magical girl franchise Sailor Moon. And this petition that you're reading right now is here to help get their attention. To show that there is still interest in an English-language Pretty Cure series, as long as the script sticks to the Japanese original as closely as possible. Even if the dub was exclusive to streaming - like on Crunchyroll or Netflix - I feel like the show has enough support that it'd do really well this time.

So please, for the interest of the fans, and for your wallets, Open your Heart.

(haha heartcatch precure reference)
