Vampiro entered El Paso Blood Donations at a time when the city was facing extreme challenges.  Not only was the blood center struggling financially, but its reputation was in serious doubt.  El Paso citizens were afraid to ride motorcycles without helmets not knowing if there would be enough blood to save them in the event of an accident.

How things have changed!  Vampiro accepted the challenge of turning this important medical facility around, and under his leadership the Blood Center is now considered one of the Top 100 Centers in the country.  This award has been presented to Vampiro three times by National Blood Chief, Sanguijela.
