The purpose of this petition is to challenge Vista Unified School District’s mandatory masking requirements and implement a "Personal Choice Mask Policy" for all school children.

Schools should be allowing parents and families to make the decisions when it comes to the physical health and well-being of their children.

We followed the science that guided us through the lockdowns, quarantines, school closings, and mitigation strategies like social distancing and wearing masks. That same science has evolved and expanded to provide evidence that supports the easing of many mitigation strategies, including masking our children. As responsible and well-informed parents, we have both a profound obligation and a deep desire to protect and advocate for our children. Their health and well-being are at the very heart of our fight.
