Stop selling fur!

Stop selling fur!
The Issue
What animals are used for fur?
Many animals are used for fur, many you would probably not even think of. A few are:
- Foxes of different types
- Coyotes
- Raccoons and Raccon Dogs (Tanuki)
- Rabbits
- Mink
and many many more! Some places such as China are too poor to provide fur from animals listed and result in skinning stray and lost dogs and cats. Fur which is dyed a different colour to make it 'fashionable' lose their DNA compounds and become untraceable to the animal they came from. Therefore, no '100% Raccoon' label can be trusted.
How are animals killed for fur?
Many animals are killed by being anally or vaginally electrocuted, then skinned alive. For some, it's a case of being beaten and again, potentially skinned alive. A lot of cruel and unimaginable things happen to the animals on fur farms.
How are animals treated at fur farms?
It goes without saying, the animals are not treated with any respect in regards to their housing. Animals are kept in tiny rusty, metal cages. Sometimes small animals such as Mink are kept with their young, deprived of food and water and confined to such a small space, many go insane. Insanity is displayed by pacing (running from one side to the other or running in circles, repeatedly) and also by the animal chewing their own skin.
Why is it important to stop the use of fur?
Fur worn by celebrities gives an impression to the average joe that it's perfectly fine to wear it. This is not the case, as you have probably decided by now. There are plenty of faux fur materials, plenty of faux leather materials and also faux reptile materials, which all look and feel just as nice. They also do not ruin as easy if at all. Faux fur is cheaper to buy and generally is guilt free. In 2014 there is no need for fur, we as humans do not need to wear the skin of others, especially as the animals experience such hell to provide such a grotesque product.
Why did this petition start?
This petition was created in order to stop Virgo Boutique in Essex from selling real fur products. In an attempt to ask them to remove the products they have behaved immaturely and in a way that displays no remmorse for the animals they are having killed for probably little profit. This is not an ethical way to make a business.
How can my signature make a difference?
Your signature will go towards a list of many others no doubt and with any luck, we WILL get Virgo to stop selling fur. Please sign and share between your friends and family, explaining why this is important to both you and the animals.
