Late term abortion at the point of dilation has been approved by the Governor of the State of virginia. He has declared that mother and physician can make this decision and not refer the decision elsewhere. He has not indicated referral to the courts for adjudication should occur. There appears to be no role for the father of the unborn in this decision making process.
The upshot of this development is that the child can be killed after being born. This is not a development that can be accepted by a civilised society. The governor has displayed poor judgement and appears to have taken no legal advice before delivering his position on the subject.
He is unfit to lead the people of the State of Virginia.
