Caleb Payne started this petition to Virginia State House and

Every election cycle northern Virginia and the Hampton Roads area decides what is "best" for our state, regardless of the majority of our counties and municipalities voting in the opposite direction.  This is in direct correlation to the fact that NOVA and Tidewater are where the majority of transplants move too and have the highest number of population. I am proposing we split the commonwealth into 3 states to align each region with their own voting interest. From Springfield north would be North Virginia, from Hampton east would be East Virginia, the remainder of the state would fall into South Virginia. I along with many of my associates and colleagues believe this will solve many social and economical differences between ideologies. The simple fact that we greatly differ in our beliefs from region to region is the main reason I am proposing this resolution. I mean in Northern Virginia they believe it is okay to murder a child up until it is born, in the Hampton Roads area they believe it is perfectly fine that our Governor paraded around in black face, or that our Lieutenant Governor sexually assaulted numerous women (allegedly). Meanwhile the heart of Virginia,  where people with moral obligations to said events are both shocked and appalled. In our liberal areas of Virginia they believe more gun control laws will hamper criminals from getting guns, in the heart of our great state we realize criminals are going to break the laws regardless because well that's what they do, and we feel enforcing the laws already on the books would be in our best interest. The left leaning areas believe in open borders and sanctuary cities inviting criminals who are here illegally to take up residence.  The people with common sense want these people held accountable for their actions and treated like the criminals they are. In conclusion I am looking for enough signatures to where this catches someone's attention and can possibly bring forth a resolution
