Save Virginia's Pet Foxes!

Across the nation, domestic foxes live in people's homes as beloved family members, just like cats, hedgehogs, and ferrets. Domestic foxes can be housetrained, taught to walk on leashes, and live in harmony with their human families.

Because they're pets, not wildlife, domestic red foxes are legal to own in Virginia without restriction. 

But that could all change. In March, the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (VDGIF) proposed a blanket ban on pet foxes. The Commonwealth thinks our pet foxes are a health hazard.
