It is approaching 12 years since the original thread on the Virgin Media community forums was started about IPv6 support in March 2010. There hasn't been any significant updates or information about Virgin Media and their IPv6 plans since November 2021, but as we are now in 2022, could this finally be the year that IPv6 support finally happens?! Their DOCSIS 3.1/Gig 1 upgrade across the network seems to have largely been completed now, will we finally see IPv6 support follow?

The petition has now been signed by over 500 individuals. While small in comparison to the Virgin Media UK customer base, it does show there is definitely interest in IPv6. The Have Virgin Media enabled IPv6 site has seen an increase in clicks and traffic over the last few months, indicating there is interest and more people are noticing the lack of IPv6 support.

Here's hoping this year finally brings us some good news around IPv6!
