Approximately 65% of Australian households own pets.  More and more millennials are opting for pets over children, and animals are fast becoming as important and valued in a family dynamic as humans.  

Going on a holiday and traveling interstate often poses issues for families with pets, even more so for those who want nothing more than their pets to travel with them.

My petition is to Virgin Australia (in my opinion, the most likely to action this) to have designated pet-allowed flights between Major Australian Cities.  That is to allow pets on the flight instead of traveling in the cargo.

I personally would take my dogs EVERYWHERE with me if this was allowed.  A lot of people would feel the same and Virgin - it would set you miles apart from your competition. 

It is frustrating how behind Australia is with pet inclusion - not just in travel, but in public locations and even rental allowances.  The benefits to having pets are immeasurable and we need to fight for a change.
