One of our peers, who was loved by many, was tragically struck and killed by a car on November 17th 2025 at around 6:00 pm. The reason this happened is because Violet was crossing Lorain Road on her break at McDonald’s to go to Starbucks. There are no crosswalks that go across Lorain Road at this intersection. Not just Violet but many other kids work in that same area, who do the same thing Violet was doing. There is also a motel on Lorain in the same area that many people cross from to go get food. This creates a major safety issue for the youth working in the area as well as the civilians staying at the motel.
