If you live, work, own property/business in Eatontown, NJ, please consider signing this petition to save public education in Eatontown.

Eatontown Public Schools will experience state aid cuts due to the S-2 legislation. In the course of the next three years the district will lose $1,561,172 in State Aid.  This loss of money leaves the Eatontown School District with no option but to eliminate the following:

o  Eliminate all Memorial Middle School sports

o  Eliminate School Play

o  Eliminate Band (grades 4-8)

o  Eliminate All After-school Clubs (grades 1-8)

o  Eliminate In-school Enrichment program (Grades pK-8)

In addition to above cuts, the following will be considered for the S-2 cuts:

o  Reduction in teacher positions

o  Class size increase over 25 to 30 students per class

o  One school in the district may close which will affect property value of surrounding homes. 

By signing this petition, you will be telling Governor Murphy and state legislators that you object to the S-2 cuts to our district. Our children and our teachers are worth it. No more S-2 cuts! No more overcrowded classrooms! No more cuts to school programs!
