Stop the Back UP Beeping construction truck Madness (MTL)

Stop the Back UP Beeping construction truck Madness (MTL)
The Issue
Dear citizens of Montreal,
The backup beeping installed on construction trucks has become a major nuisance in this city. Given all the construction both private and city works, these trucks are everywhere and don't stop beeping. Those living next to construction sites can attest to how torturous this can become over a period of time. These beepers are meant to be loud and disruptive in order to warn anyone within their vicinity however they also affect the people living in the buildings and houses close by. This non stop daily beeping can lead to chronic medical issues such as insomnia, tinnitus and anxiety. There are alternatives that have already been deployed in other cities in Canada such as white noise technology and only costs $50 to replace. We need as many signatures as possible to get the city to take action and make this horrendous loud beeping a thing of the past. For God's sake we are suppose to be in our homes quarantining during these difficult times and then to have to bear the general construction noise along with the beeping and everything this city has thrown at us, come on! Enough! Let's wake them up now. Please sign and share if you care.
