The solar industry has been working with residents of the Village of Kildeer on installing solar energy systems on their homes. The Village of Kildeer is strongly opposed to allowing solar panels due to the precedent it will set in the community, the aesthetic opinion, and the large undertaking of writing the policy would be. 

Advocate organizations and solar companies from Northern Illinois encourage the Residents of Kildeer to help us take action to get their decision overturned and changed to accept solar panel installations within the Village of Kildeer. 

The hold-out from The Village of Kildeer ripples into effecting the larger renewable goals of the State of Illinois. It also prohibits the opportunity for residents to gain the maximum Federal Tax Credit as well as claim the state rebate that is funded by ratepayers in Kildeer and across Illinois.  

We encourage the Residents of Kildeer to sign this petition and help us take action in getting solar panel installations sanctioned within the community.
