In accordance with the Council’s petition policy, this correspondence will explain the next steps for the petition.

I can confirm that we received your petition via change.org which contained 2180 valid signatures. Therefore, in accordance with the Council’s petitions policy as the petition contains more than 1500 signatories we will present your petition to the Full Council where Councillors will have the opportunity to debate the petition. The next ordinary Council meeting that the petition could be presented to will be on Thursday 15 July 2020.  
 
As the petition organiser you are entitled to speak at the Council meeting for up to five minutes to explain why you feel it is important that the Council takes action. I would be very grateful if you could contact me to confirm whether or not you wish to take this opportunity to speak.
