Please Finish Translating "The New Adventures of Kimba the White Lion" into English
The Issue
I am a longtime fan of Dr. Osamu Tezuka's famous manga "Jungle Emperor Leo". The 1989 anime adaptation otherwise entitled "The New Adventures of Kimba the White Lion" currently remains as the only adaption that has never been fully translated to english for western audiences. This anime remains as a lost adaptation to many western fans, due to the lack of attention given to this anime via english subtitling. I'm asking the viki online community to finish subtitling the remaining 27 episodes, out of the 25 that were already translated, into english
As a fan of the anime and one who wishes to better understand the story of the later episodes, it is important that the translation must be finished! Viki has provided english subtitles for Tezuka's other anime works but no one from the community bothered to provide a complete translation for "The New Adventures of Kimba the White Lion". It really dissappoints me knowing that there are loyal fans of the english speaking demograph who would want to watch the rest of the series and follow this forgotten adaptation just as much as I do.
If you join today and sign my petition, the viki community will make the effort to finish what they started and that is to provide english subtitles for all the remaining episodes of the series. Then English speaking fans like myself could watch the entire series and really be able to experience this refreshing take on Tezuka's long time classic.
However, if viki doesn't act then the series will remain with an incomplete translation to english that will forever dissappoint newer english speaking fans to come. The anime will thus remain completely lost and those who speak english who would like to follow the entire story will never get the chance!
