With great pride and gratitude to all the supporters, I am pleased to share that we have seen progress in our efforts. At the Plan Commission Hearing held on January 13, the commissioners generally agreed that our request is fair and reasonable and should move forward. They indicated that this should not be an addition to the zoning code but rather a policy change for the Plan Commission. The commissioners expressed a desire to further explore the budget impacts to assess the feasibility of broadcasting meetings. The topic was continued to the next meeting for further investigation, but there is a clear direction toward video recording and publicly posting meeting videos, as this is the direction the village is moving.
