Little League continues to ban crucial safety gear. How long will they ignore safety at the plate? Ask them to explain. That thumb protectors alter the bat is a false claim by Little League. Call them out and speak out for your youth players!

Little League season is officially underway, and while kids across the country are stepping up to the plate, they’re doing so without a critical piece of safety equipment: thumb protectors. Little League’s decision to ban thumb guards is putting young athletes at risk and at a clear disadvantage.

Thumb protectors do not alter the bat. They provide an essential advantage: safety and protection for a vulnerable part of the body. The hand is one of the most at-risk areas for impact injuries in baseball and softball. A single mishit can lead to bruising, fractures, and long-term damage—injuries that are entirely preventable with this simple, proven safety tool.

This is Craig, the founder of ThumbPRO®, and I’m back with an important update. We’re gaining momentum! With 227 signatures and counting, parents and players are sending a clear message to Little League: this ban is unfair, unsafe, and needs to be overturned. Let’s keep the pressure on—help us reach 250 signatures!

Yet, despite the growing outcry, Little League continues to ignore the concerns of parents and players demanding safety. Why? It’s a question they seem to hope will simply disappear.

📢 Spread the Word!

  • Tag Little League on social media
  •  Email them, call them, and demand answers
  • Ask Little League why they’re banning safety gear that has been used for decades at all levels of play.
  • If Little League claims the ban prevents an unfair advantage, demand they explain their reasoning—because it simply doesn’t hold up. The truth? This ban creates a disadvantage by exposing players to unnecessary pain and injury.**Thumb guards protect players—**they don’t alter the bat, despite Little League’s false claims.

By banning thumb protectors, Little League isn’t leveling the playing field; they’re increasing the risk of hand injuries that could sideline young athletes or take away their love for the game.

If Little League truly stands for safety and fairness, why are they stripping players of the choice to protect their hands?
