On June 16, 2026, Summit’s Common Council passed an ordinance that banned AI Data Centers 20 megawatts and above.

We need them to ban all AI Data Centers by specifically removing the megawatt threshold. Period. That ensures that we will never get an AI Data Center in our beautiful town. 

Let’s hold them to it! 

WHAT YOU CAN DO

1. Sign this petition. We will report the total signatures before the Council meeting in July.
2. Share this with as many neighbors as possible. Even if they signed a petition already, this one adds a specific demand to meet that guarantees all AI Data Centers are banned. 
3. Share this on Facebook! If you are a Summit resident, share this with your friends! If you know a Summit resident, share it with them!
4. “Chip In.” Change.org will ask if you want to chip in. Do it! Even $2 helps!
