Stop Pet Stores Breeding Small Animals

The issue

It isn't enough to just stop the puppy farming model - ALL animals deserve to be treated with respect and humanity. Pet stores breeding for profit is not better than a puppy farm - the animals are rarely properly cared for and are often unhealthy as a result. Breeding of any animal should be left to people who know what they are doing and pet stores should be required to deal with rescues for all pet adoptions - regardless of species. And yes, rescues for small animals DO exist!
Put an end to the cruelty of pet farming, of animals kept in tiny tubs waiting for someone to enquire about them, to the numerous amounts of small animals killed in inhumane ways because they were the 'wrong gender' and no one wanted them. Make pet stores accountable for having clean enclosures with proper food and water supplies for ALL animals.
Create an equal voice for all our pets - big AND small.
