Increase public transport in Greenvale and other growing suburbs

The issue

To the Victorian Government, I am sending a petition on improving local public transport in Greenvale, a growing town north west of Melbourne. This petition is important as not everybody living in Greenvale, or other new suburbs, for that matter, can drive or has access to a car, or even wants to drive all the time. I have chosen Greenvale of special importance because it is not only my home suburb, but the bus service in the established estate is rather poor, with buses coming late and either once every 40 minutes on average or later. The newer parts of Greenvale, the Providence, Greenvale Gardens and Lavinia estates have no public transport or shops so many of their residents need to use a car to access groceries for instance. As Greenvale grows we hope that the Victorian Government listens to its citizens and at least installs more buses, more often, not just to service 484 near Greenvale Shopping Centre but also to the new estates. The services should link to Broadmeadows, Craigieburn, Roxburgh Park or Sunbury, or a combination of these towns. Hoping you will understand and act soon in this area. Sincerely, the undersigned.
