Our 2 beautiful family kelpies love their life of freedom on our farm playing fetch, learning to round up our sheep, going out and socializing with other dogs and children at dog Parks and beaches they are our family and are very well trained. On the 25th July they decided to explore a neighboring property and attacked some small lambs. This was due to my backyard fencing being incomplete and my lack of supervision for hours. THATS MY FAULT... Not theirs. Dogs attack lambs it is their nature. Our option was destroy them or pay $3000 fines and class them as dangerous. They are now dangerous dogs and the life they used to live is over they are permantly locked in a small enclosure and when ever they are out of that jail cell they are to be muzzled and leashed it is obsurd. There needs to be consideration of the dogs nature and behavior before they are placed into this horrible category.
