Cancellation of OBE

Cancellation of OBE
The Issue
We call for the cancellation of OBE for all years.
A survey was conducted to understand the current status of the student body of DU whether they were in the correct mental state to appear in the upcoming OBE exams and this is what we concluded:
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL WELL BEING OF STUDENTS
Many students, faculty, and even members of the Delhi University (DU) have lost their lives and/or loved ones. Even today, many are tested positive and continue their battle against the virus. Our nation is facing a deficit of essentials like oxygen cylinders, hospital beds, medicines, etc. This has deeply affected the physical and mental well-being of the students and faculty alike.
INACCESSIBILITY
A large part of the student body of Delhi University comes from the Delhi/NCR region. This region is one of the most affected regions in the second wave.
Delhi is currently under lockdown, even metro services are suspended. This makes physical movement very difficult. According to the latest reports, the virus is airborne, which makes travel even more dangerous. Many students do not have stable network connectivity at home. They previously used cyber cafes or other such means to give exams. Such means are unavailable now.
Even conduction of OBEs need the physical presence of some staff and students in the office to be able to operate the server/portal for the same which only puts the said person at high risk, that is, of course, if they are even able to travel to the office.
We propose that the results be calculated using the aggregate of marks in previous semesters as well as internal assessments that were conducted this semester.
