We all need to reach out to the Governor's office ASAP....CS/HB 4061 Was sent to the Governor a couple of hours ago for signature! If he signs, it becomes law. If he IGNORES it, it becomes law. 

We NEED HIM TO VETO this bill!!!!

Here is what I have been sending:

"Dear Ron DeSantis,

I’m reaching out to you regarding the 'VETO Florida CS/HB 4061 that gives Canadian developer too much control & power!' petition, which has garnered significant community support with 3,140 signatures.

You said with Reedy Creek that 'a company should not be its own government.' At least with Reedy Creek, the company as landowner was not only an American business, but was/is the primary land user in perpetuity. The theme parks, amenities, and lodging, etc. were not planned to be sold off piece by piece over time.

Here, in this instance of West Villages Improvement District, the company landowner is Foreign-owned and merely planning to build, sell homes/lots (at least for the majority of it), and move on. They are not a long-term stakeholder for the District as is the case with Reedy Creek.

Please, help protect the residents, your constituents!
