This petition is a proposal to the CK veterinarians to reinstate emergency veterinary care in their clinics. We have eleven veterinary clinics in Chatham/Kent, but no after hours  emergency service. The nearest 24/7 emergency clinics are in Windsor and London, and depending on the nature of the emergency, our pets will not make it there in time. All these veterinarians took an oath to help our pets when they accepted us as clients, and in doing so, they need to be available when an emergency arises. If all eleven clinics rotated emergency service, accepting all clients of these clinics, they would only work emergency care 4.7 weeks out of the year. They would be able to provide the care we require, while still having time for their own personal lives. Please help our pets get the necessary care they deserve. With your help, we can hopefully present a strong and viable solution to a very serious issue.
