My step dad Mike is in dire need of a liver transplant due to stage 3 cancer and cirrhosis of the liver; both due to Hepatitis C he caught whilst in the ARMY.

He wants to spend the rest of his years watching hockey, enjoying the outdoors, spending time with his wife and taking care of his elderly parents. He is only 56 years old and recently fell in love and married my mom. Please don't let her lose him so soon.

VA Hospitals first accepted him, but then denied his claim without much detail. Medicare won’t accept him due to a pending Disability Case. In addition these processes all take years to be accepted to, precious time we do not have. Without this life saving transplant Mike will die in less than 2 years. We are extremely short on time.

We plead with you for the VA to approve Mikes case and get them on the transplant list. Otherwise he will die as a transplant is the only way for him to live. 

He currently has a case open with the Congresswoman Karen Bass to appeal but no resolution has been made.
