Today marks the one year anniversary of this brutal crime. Joliet, IL police never solved the crime, the Illinois Industrial Commission has allowed the case to go on for the past year. Attorneys are...well, some are good and some are better, some need to be re educated. At the end of the day, the victim still awaits compensation while in treatment, those who have provided treatment have to wait for compensation. The store owners continue to earn money and Verizon continues to get wealthier. Criminals are free to continue to rob and attempt to murder. Justice is slow and for many may never come. Verizon must manage the vendors they allow to operate in a more responsible manner. Cities must make sure that businesses have their licenses in order before being allowed to operate. If corporations, local city government and business owners were responsible and there were adequate systems in place for all the checks that were needed, more victims would be taken care of properly.
