Thank you for your support. My son, loved his job, he supported Verizon, it's product and services with pride each and every day. He worked hard to make customers happy and honestly could not envision doing anything else. Until this tragic event changed everything. He has never displayed anger against those who brutally attacked him, he simply wanted to heal and become whole again one day. The store owner promised to do the right thing, until the right thing became expensive. I asked Verizon why this store owner was allowed to operate without the work comp insurance they say he is supposed to have to be a vendor for them, but of course they will not answer. Yes there will be penalties from the state, and yes, we can engage in litigation, but these things will take years. It is our hope that Verizon takes responsibility before allowing anyone to sell their products and services and makes certain that those vendors are properly insuring the HUMAN lives that are out there every day making both the vendor and Verizon money. By Verizon allowing this vendor to operate in the fashion he did, both Verizon and the store owner have only served to cause my son more harm. Please continue to share so perhaps Verizon will wake up and realize that pretending to be blind will allow more store owners to victimize their employees while the owners keep making money and Verizon gets richer.
